What is COMPARE |
When anti-TNF treatments stop working, families are left making difficult decisions without enough information. That’s where COMPARE Pediatric IBD comes in. This national research study will help doctors understand how newer, off-label therapies work for kids and teens with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The COMPARE research study aims to answer an important question: Which new medicines work best and are safest for kids and teens with Crohn’s or colitis when older treatments stop working? Our goal is simple: to help families and providers find the most effective and safest next steps in care. | ||||

Designed with families, for families |
Families, patients, and providers have shaped COMPARE from the very beginning. Hear what they had to say about COMPARE!
“I support this research because these medications could help stop the progressing of IBD in many young patients. Speaking from personal experience, if such medications were introduced in my earlier years, I may have avoided surgery.”
~ Austin, Patient with IBD “I think this research question is the most relevant to the most kids… in terms of benefit per child, this is the highest level of benefit” ~ Catalina, Patient with IBD |
